Well, the Dane puppies that were born at the house on May 8th are getting HUGE and I love it. These kids have been in the house since the day they were born and until yesterday, most had never touched dirt or knew what it was like to be hot and dirty. But there comes a time when every kid must go out and get dirty and play in the sun.
The home we had lined up for the fawn/grey colored girl had fallen through and that's when I stepped up and said "I have to have her". She has been my favorite the whole time but I knew that we had people lined up for these kids... I could not pass it up. IF she has the right play drive, we will work her as a search and rescue dog. The mom, Onyx, has minimal drive but has a fear of men, so that will not work, as most people in search and rescue operations are men and what if we went on a search and the victim she found was a man? I guess we could find him by searching in the opposite direction she was running? Anyway, my new baby, Jade...
